Unsafe at any speed

Benetta Buell-Wilson, who was awarded $350 million in her case against Ford, is paralysed from the waist down because her SUV rolled over. If Ford would pay attention to safety, though, she's willing to give back a sizeable sum of that settlement:

At a news conference, Buell-Wilson said she would waive 100 million of the punitive damages if Ford agrees -- within 72 hours -- to recall Explorers made between 1990 and 2001 and fix roof defects in those models.

But instead of paying attention to safety, Ford is planning to appeal the decision.

I need to take a shower after simply writing about this kind of sleeze.
