Iran threatens to launch a preemptive strike against Israel's nuclear facilities.

"We will not sit (with arms folded) to wait for what others will do to us. Some military commanders in Iran are convinced that preventive operations which the Americans talk about are not their monopoly," [Iranian Defence Minister Ali] Shamkhani said when asked about the possibility of a US or Israeli strike against Iran's nuclear facilities.

Not only is this statement scary, but it also lends evidence to the argument that Iran could want nuclear weapons because they feel threatened by Israel. And maybe if Israel admmitted to having weapons and disarmed them, the world wouldn't need to worry about Iran having the atomic bomb.
