There is now little to no doubt that the missile which hit a market in Baghdad friday night, killing 62 peeople, was an American missile. A foot long shred of sharpnel from the missile, as seen by Robert Fisk of The Independent/UK, had a serial number on it. This serial number has been traced to prove that the missile was made at a Raytheon plant in Texas. The US military has also confirmed that this type of bomb was also armed and fired from at least one US jet the night of the market bombing.
