As the US continues to prove that we cannot handle a post-war Iraq, we have asked the UN to play a larger role in helping the US with post-war Iraq. We still will not allow UN weapons inspectors back into the country. For everyone keeping score at home, at me recap these events: the US tells tne UN to suck a fat one while we invaded Iraq, now that we are in over our heads, we are begging the UN for help. Yet only the US can administrate that help, and if the UN wants to do reasonable things like said in weapons inspectors (the UN has said, for example, that the inspectors need to protect Iraqi "nuclear" sites to keep items from being stolent hat could be made into a dirty bomb), they can't. It's no easy being the UN.
