Lack of posts

My apologies for the lack of blog content lately. I just haven't felt inspired to write anything. Right now, all the news coming out about the latest crimes of the Bush adminisstration has glossed over my mind like it's not really a story. While the aspects of White House oficials committing a felony, placing national security at risk by mucking up the intelligence gathering capibilities of the CIA, and placing an undercover CIA operative in danger by blowing her cover is certainly a story, especially when all of those grievous acts were done to smear someon who spoke out against the Bush administration, I still tend to ignore it. I'm conscience of it's existance and I know the facts, but isn't this the 10 zillionith proven crime that the Bush administration has comittied? Don't you get the familiar feeling that, yet again, absolutely nothing is going to happen to Bush? Don't you get frustrated that the mainstream media refuses to do their jobs by holding the Bush administration to task?

Well, how can theyd o that with this story since they are just as guilty as the Bush administration? Since Washington reporters want to keep the sources that they have, since leakers from the White House are few and can pick and choose which member of the media they want to talk to, no reporter or editor who knows exactly who in the Bush administration is guilty of this felony is going to step forward and say it, because then they'll miss out on the next scoop somebody from the administration gives them.

I'm all for reporters allowing their sources to remain anonymous, but seeing magnitude of the crime being committed by officials in the Bush administration, placing a women's life in danger all because her husband disagreed with Bush's claim that Iraq tried purchasing yellow cake from Niger, you would think that one eporter or editor that this story was shopped to first would have good conscience enough to point the finger, to tell the truth. But nope, not gonna happen.

And now the investigation to find the leaker is being conducted by Bush's handpicked Justice Department, led by Ashcroft. Rhetorically speaking, can we really trust them to conduct a non-biased investigation of the White House? Clinton's justce department appointed a Republican special prosecutor when Repubicans alleged him bad real estate deals that turned out to be legal anyways. We already know that a cfelony has been committed by some member(s) of the Bush administration, so why not appoint a Democrat special prosecutor to investigate? Given the circumstances (ie: Clinton might have committed a crime, compared to an existing crime that Bush might have knowledge of), this would be more then fair.

Why doesn't the media point this out? And if Bush and the justice department continue their stonewalling, then why doesn't the press make a natural, logical assumption: Bush has something to hide.

I've already made that assumption.

Of course, you just get the feeling that this is never going to happen. People just don't seem to care. Situations involving crimes and the Bush administration remind me of a conversation that I had with my old girlfriend, a Reublican living in Ohio. The conclusion of the conversation: She wouldn't care if Bush received a "Monica" in the Oval Office for one reason, he's a Republican. But if a Democrat does it, then they have to leave office. I'm not kidding, this is what she actually thinks, and I don't think her's is a lone opinion. This is how partisan Republicans are. They just don't give a damn if their boy commits a crime, as long as he's pushing through the Republican agenda any way possible, he has carte blanche authority to do whatever the hell he wants. Remember that the next time you have to deal with a Republican, for it is their attitude, and that's why they are dangerous to this country and her people.
