Dipping into the ole mailbag...

Yesterday, I received some spam from the International Planned Parenthood Federation/FreeChoiceSavesLives.org. Here's how it starts:

You know what worries me? The fact that every network and newspaper in the country is buzzing with news of Bush's new "mandate."

After I read this, I thought to myself, "You know what worries me? The fact that every network and newspaper in the country thinks that Bush getting this narrow mandate is a huge victory, and absolutely nobody is drawing a correlation to the fact that, if you admit that Bush just now has "mandate," then he didn't govern with a mandate for the past four years.

Doesn't this bother anyone?

Anyways, IPPF suggests writing letters to your editor discussing Bush's mandate. I'm not sure how much weight a letter to the editor has these days, but you're welcome to try.
