Prime Minister Tony Blair, preparing for a meeting with President Bush, committed himself anew on Sunday to the war in Iraq, calling it part of a "historic struggle" against dictatorship, terrorism and fanaticism across the globe.

And here I thought England entered the war because Saddam supposedly had weapons of mass destruction would could reach their island in 45 minutes. But if Tony wants to trump up some new claims for going to war, he could at least amuse us by making those truthful. "Terrorism," for example, is invalid since Saddam has no connections to al-Qa'ida.

This kind of lying has just become shameless, apparently.
