A senior U.S. military officer acknowledged that mending ties with Iraqis outraged by a growing prisoner abuse scandal would be difficult but said the damage was "not irreparable."

"Not irreparable", that's classic. We hadn't exactly perfected the art of winning their hearts and minds to begin with, now they find out we've continued Saddam's rape rooms open for business, but our relationship for the Iraqi people is supposedly "not irreparable."

50 years from now, a historian will write a book about the Bush administration, and this book will be aptly and accurately titled, "Those Fucktards."
