Not to be insensitive

When getting my caffine fix before work earlier this evening, I saw a tabloid whose lead story was that Ray Charles is dying. Uhm, I thought tabloids were supposed to be shocking? I have nothing against the man, but he is kind of old, and when people get kind of old, then they kind of die... I kind of thought this was common sense. Kind of. I mean, Michael Jackson's going to be on trial for child molestation soon, and all this tabloid could find to report was Ray Charles' impending death? Where are the photos of Jacko rolling around in his massive collection of used boys tighty whiteys? Not that I'd want to see that skidmark parade, but that's the quality journalism I've come to expect from tabloids.
