Victims in Sudan? Fuck'em!

The Senate, in a 98-0 vote, passed a $419 billion Pentagon budget for next year. The AP article includes this final paragraph:

It also used a voice vote to add $95 million for victims of warfare and famine in Sudan and Chad, in an amendment sponsored by Senator Mike DeWine, Republican of Ohio, and others. But by a vote of 54 to 44, it rejected an effort by Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr., Democrat of Delaware, to provide $118 million more.

I realize that $95 million is a lot of money, but when you have $419 billion to play with, another $118 million is a drop in the bucket. But in the face of a huge defense budget to pay for a couple of bullshit wars, I guess asking for a drop in the bucket to contribute to humanitarian aid for one of the world's worst crisises is just asking too much. Long live those rape camps.
