Nuke'em!
Do they even attempt to educate people in Florida?

An article from Sun-Sentinel in South Florida reports that some citizens there have been pitching ideas to stop hurricanes. They wonder why the US government will not get involved in stopping hurricanes, since the storms cause billions of dollars in damge each year. What's the top suggestion? You guessed it: nuke'em!

Because a hurricane just isn't bad enough, we need to try to bomb it, and then have the radiation from that bomb spread expontentionally farther by the hurricane itself! Yay! Call MENSA, we're a bunch of fucking geniuses!

Other people wanted to use more "conventional" weapons, like missiles. I wonder if anybody has informed these rednecks that a hurricane consists of clouds, and that a missile would go right through the fucking thing. What's the next line of defense, whipping out your shotgun and trying to blow the thing out of the sky?

It gets better. My favorite part of this article typifies the intellect of these hurricane experts. One bright, and most likely elderly, man came up with a novel solution to stop hurricanes: prayer! This quote from the article is priceless: "'When I stopped taking him seriously, he prayed a hurricane would come and get me,' said Hugh Willoughby, NOAA's former director of hurricane research."

As you can tell, we are dealing with reasonable, intelligent people here. Anyone who thinks nuking a hurricane is a good idea deserves the utmost respect and an honorany degree from their local community college. Dipshits.
