The Anti-War Vote

There's been a lot of Kerry bashing going on this week from people who would likely vote for him. Hell, I've probably helped lead the charge against him. But in order to keep things in perspective, we have to remember one thing: Kerry's not Bush. He's the best option we've got to beat Bush. And even if Kerry is elected and continues the abhorrent policies of the Bush administration, this is still ten times better then having Bush reelected because Bush will advance his own policies, not just maintain them. While it's tough for anyone who adamantly opposes the war in Iraq to vote for a candidate who says we need more troops in Iraq, we don't have a choice. Fortunately, we can rest assured that a President Kerry will not invade other countries. We can't have that same trust in another Bush administration. With a President Kerry, we get somebody the UN can place more trust in, and a man who will clear the neocons of out the White House and Pentagon. I know his stance on Iraq stinks, but that has to count for something.

Yes, he's the lesser of two evils, but what other choice do we have? Democrat voters weren't smart enough to see the light and at least vote for Edwards, and we're left with this asshole. We've gotta vote for him, and, if we can stomach it, throw some money towards his campaign. (Contributions are at least tax-deductible, right?) After he's in office, we can vehemently protest his policies. I can't take another four years of Bush in the White House.
