Flip-Fuck

Prepare yourself to witness some dumbing down of the media.

Others, of course, are skeptical that Kerry, whom critics have long accused of flip-flopping on issues, will stand firm.

Unfortunately, this is a serious line from a serious news article. But instead of coming off as objective journalism, it looks like the reported ripped it straight out of Bush's Guide to Propaganda Warfare. It even uses terminology from the Bush campaign: "flip-flopping." Why not say, "Some have criticized Kerry for changing stances on the issues," or even, "Kerry, whom critics have accused of hypocrisy in the past," would be acceptable. And it sure sounds more articulate then "flip-flopping."

It troubles me that the exact some words Bush has used to attack Kerry make it into articles from the mainstream media, the one place that should be devoid of talking points from any party.
