The real news continues to debunk Drudge's crapola

NY Times has the latest on just when 380 tons of explosives were looted from Al-Qaqaa.

Looters stormed the weapons site at Al Qaqaa in the days after American troops swept through the area in early April 2003 on their way to Baghdad...

But the accounts make clear that what set off much if not all of the looting was the arrival and swift departure of American troops, who did not secure the site after inducing the Iraqi forces to abandon it...

[E]mployees asked the Americans to protect the site but were told this was not the soldiers' responsibility.

You know, in a just world, the release of stories like this would destroy Drudge's credibility. But it seems like nothing harms that man, no matter how much he lies. Worse, it seems like all Republicans are having trouble handling (or even mentioning) the truth.

Amazing... What these people do to defend their president is absolutely astounding.
