The House has voted in favor of letting the military ignore endangered species regulations and train anywhere they damn well please. Hopefully this thing dies in the Senate, but you never know.

Meanwhile, EPA head Christine Todd Whitman has given Don Bush her resignation. There is much speculation that Whitman grew frustrated with the far right forces of the Bush administration.

Can somebody shoot the Republican legislators in Texas> Please? The Texas Democrats who walked out because of the highly partisan redistricting vote, and Democrats in Washington, want to know a few things. Like, for example, just why in the fuck the federal Department of Homeland Security was involved in the investigation to find them. Yes, folks, feel threatened, the DEMOCRATS are coming! Lock your doors! Hide your children! They'll ruin America because they are not REPUBLICANS! Burn them at the stake! This isn't the worst part, though. The day that the Democrats called for an investigation, the commander at the Texas Department of Public Safety ordered that all the documents concerning the Texas Democrats be destroyed. I shit you not. They claim that since the Texas Democrats are not criminals, federal law says that they are not allowed to keep files on them and that they must be destroyed immediately. As you can probably guess, not a lot of people are buying that. And the plot thickens: Republican Texas House Speaker Craddick setup a command center near his Capitol office to direct the search for the Democrat lawmakers (whom he wanted arrested and thrown in the can). Democrats, upon their return to Texas, have accused state troopers of harassing their spouses, including one who just had twins prematurely and was still in a neonatal clinic. Craddick, in response, said:"I'm afraid that those who are pursuing a conspiracy are drilling a dry well." Pardon the screaming, but I can't stand this: IF THERE'S NO CONSPIRACY, THEN WHY ARE DOCUMENTS BEING DESTROYED, YOU FUCK?! WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO HIDE, MOTHERFUCKER?!?@$#@$! Jumpin fuckin Jesus on a motherfucking pogo stick, are we STUPID?! ARGH!

The US is mad at Al Jazeera for playing another audio tape (supposedly) from al-Qa'ida on the air. I guess the government thinks that the arab media needs to become more like its American counterpart: complacent! Investigate NOTHING, parrot the government line in every situation without questioning the facts and coming to conclusions that a literate teenager could come to if one stopped to think for a couple of minutes, and they make sure you report on what dress some celeb wore to the Oscars. You see, these pesky Arab news services, they don't know their place. The aren't actually supposed to report NEWS, they are supposed to be tools for propaganda -- American propaganda! Shame on them!

There's no new news on the classroom bomb that went off at Yale. None that I have found, anyways.
