Since everyone else has done it..
I wouldn't want to confuse anybody by making them think that Loaded Mouth is not fair and balanced like every other self-respecting blog in the blogosphere, I just haven't had much computer time lately. On the topic, Ben Weasel is once again clear and concise with his commentary on Fox's bullshit lawsuit against Al Franken. Read his take and think about it the next time Fox News and some Republican complains about frivolous lawsuits.

Fuck the blackout
Well, it's 90 degrees out and I'm in a bad mood, so be warned.

Now that I am moved into a house in Providence and we have cable, I have been watching the 24 hour news channels. And boy, what a fucking bore they are. The story they are still talking about is the blackout. Blackout this, blackout that, blackout whatever. News flash: the blackout is over, and no one give a flying monkey fuck anymore. It lasted what, 3, 4 hours? Maybe 5? And they are still talking about it? Just goes to show that the 24 hour news channels certainly aren't using their time to perfrom the public service of finding and delivering news to us.

I love how they are trying to milk the terrorist angle out of this (when they aren't trying to blame Canada). I have only been watching these channels for 5 minute stints before I become annoyed, but it seems like everytime I flip them on, they are trying to relate the blackout to terrorism. "Terrorists could have caused this!" Yeah, but they DIDN'T! It's not a story! Terrorists could cause anything, whoopidee fucking doo la la! I kinda think the public is well aware of this.

Then again, I should never "misunderestimate" the stupidity of the American public. And as the mainstream media knows, fear sells. People are probably buying, yet again.

As for power outages, one word for ya: Iraq. Jumpin Jesus on a pogo stick, we lose power in parts of this country for a few hours and the media goes absolutely apeshit, yet parts of Iraq have been without power for months and nobody gives a fucking fuck. Nevermind our "construction" effort in Afghanistan. No wonder the rest of the world hates us.

I would report some of the real news to you, but I haven't had time to look for any. This is the first time that I have had time to whip out the computer here, even though I'm used to whipping it out often. (Bada-bing!) I tried using it last night, but my three-prong plug would not fit into the two-prong outlets in my ancient temple of a formerly Irish Providence neighborhood. This is the last house here still under Irish ownership, and since this is now a Spanish neighborhood, I betcha I'm the only French person to ever reside on my street.

I made some purchases for the house today, including a fan. I should know that purchasing a fan on the hottest day of summer is only going to lead to bad luck, because the motherfucker doesn't work and now I have to return it. Thus, I'm pissed. Since gas prices are so astronomical this summer, maybe I should ask Target for some gas money.

Right now, to conclude, I well say a prayer to the DSL gods....

Moving (Finally)
I'm finally going through with mymove. New house, new neighbors, new 'hood.. And no internet access as of right now. There is one phone jack in the house, and it's on the farthest end of the house in comparisan to where my computer will be, so, getting online just to check my email becomes a pain in the ass, nevermind trolling for news and blogging. Not to mention that my roommate will probably want to use the phone at night.

Needless to say, I'll be getting DSL installed soon. Unfortunately for the blog or anything in my online life, not soon enough. But, I hope yo be seeing you very soon...

Another reason not to use Nuclear Energy
The heat wave in Europe is causing trouble wth nuclear reactors in France: to cool them down, they may have to ration out electricity.

Whackos to the White House
I surely hope this is a mistake an that this group is lying: Jack Van Imp Ministries International claims that Condoleezza Rice contacted them to predict what's gong to happen in the Middle East. If the Bush administration is relying on input from cakes before setting national policy, then that's something to Worry about. Just take a look at this timeline from JVIM, their predictation of future events: the rise of the Antichrist, Russia tries to invade Israel, Battle of Armageddon, Christ returns. Great stuff.

Here's a banner ad they had on their site:

(Don't click that, it goes nowhere.)

It makes me feel nice and cozy knowing that Bush is looking to these whackos for advice. I think I need something to puke in.

Random stuff
I wanted to make another post about California, but the dead horse woke up and asked me to stop beating him. Instead, for all you need to know about the situation on California, I refer you to Ben at Weasel Manor and his entry discussing how ridiculous the situation is, "Into The Ocean".

Speaking of Ben Weasel, he's a great author as well as a terrific singer/song writer for the now defunct Screeching Weasel. Iorder you to buy his novel, "Like Hell", and a collection of his columns from various punk magazines, "Punk is a Four-Letter Word".

One more rant about Cali: Buzzflash has gathered some pretty definitive proof that the Bush adminitration's grubby little fingerprints are all oer the recall. It bothers me that Republicans are now simply seeking to take power now matter what, because if you don't think that recalling gthe governor will haev any 2004 Presidential implications, bunky, then you aren't looking at the big picture. A popular Republican governor in California could equal all of that state's electoral votes going to Bush next election. Just another step towards dictatorship.. The Republicans figured out that the majority of the country doesn't vote for them, so they will just circumvent all of those pesky, democratic elections and buy their way into the position. If anyone complains, then they must be a.. dun dun.. LIBERAL!.. duuuuuuuunnnn!

Most Extreme Elimination Challenge is currently the funniest show in 8 different universes.

In other news, Boston College and MIT bitchslaps the RIAA by taking them to court over subpoenas to get personal info about their students. The judge sided with BC and MIT.
