In shameless news, NASA wants to develope and launch probes which use nuclear power. A story like this doesn't need too much in the way of editorial comment from me to get my point across: seeing that NASA's last space shuttle BLEW UP, this news scares me.

Newsblast!
Proving that there is nothing to do in Indiana, a man masturbates in his garage and tries to get his female neighbor to come near him. Yes, the garage door was open. Unfortunately, the reporter for this article did not find out if the man had 2 or 3 inches.
So, you still believe that executives at corporations, like WorldCom, who cooked the books and went bankrupt because of it, are innocent? Let's hear what a WorldCom accounting executive said to an employee about their records: "Show those numbers to the fucking auditors and I'll throw you out the fucking window." Guilty!
Canada could make "dwarf tossing" illegal. Maybe we can just toss babies instead. They go farther!
BBC News Online is running a poll to find out who their readers, mostly not American, think the greatest American ever is. Who's winning? Homer Simpson. What does that say about our image outside of our borders?

From the "What the Fuck?" department: Iraq is starting to sell oil. Yet, gas prices around here are at $1.57 a gallon. I'm not an economics major, but my education level has gone beyond the first grade. So, uhm, if we have more supply and the demand hasn't changed, shouldn't we, uhm, see a drop in prices? Uhm, duh? I mean, I'm feeling really stupid here. How come gas prices are still astronomical when there's more oil on the market?
Some roadmap, eh?
For full disclosure, I'll admit that I am not an expert when it comes to Israeli/Palestinian relations. There is so much one can learn about this conflict that it requires years of study which I just don't have under my belt yet. Not to say that I'm not paying attention.
So maybe ignorance would explain why I thought, initially, that Bush's Mideast "roadmap" for peace between Israelis and the Palestinians might be working. Maybe I was just being hopeful. I know now that I was being naive. One should know better then to think, after decades of conflict, that Israelis and Palestinians would suddenly see the light and make peace with each other. Both sides are too stubborn to do such a thing. Hamas is responsible for the despicable suicide bombing on a bus in Jerusalem today which killed 16 people, but that was in response to Israel targeting a Hamas leader and critically injuring him in an assassination attempt. Now it looks like both sides are back to normal again.
What role does Bush have in all this? To be fair, you can't blame the man for causing this conflict, what's happening right now would probably still be happening if Gore was in office. But like it or not, Bush is involved. It was the Bush administration which demanded the Palestinians to pick a new leader to work with Israel, and that's how new Palestinian Prime Minister Abbas came onto the scene. A man that Palestinians consider to be mass murderer, Ariel Sharon, was reelected as Prime Minister there. Sharon hates Palestinian Authority President Yassar Arafat so much that he wishes he killed him when he had the chance. Needless to say, Sharon refused to work with Arafat and you can't have much of a peace process when both parties refuse to meet, so that's why the Bush administration demanded that the Palestinians pick another leader.
(This is starting to sound like a soap opera, isn't it?)
Well, this new leader is turning out to be pretty ineffective. Whether or not this is because of Bush will never be known, but the Bush administration doesn't appear to be helping him. I remember reading an article last week which discussed the breakdown of talks between PM Abbas and Hamas leaders. Abbas wants Hamas to stop committing violent acts against Israel. But Hamas ended the talks, they were rather pissed off at a speech Abbas gave. This speech, the article said, was penned by Bush advisors and the draft was given to Abbas' advisors for review. I reread that paragraph 4 or 5 times and thought to myself, "You gotta be shitting me." Abbas delivered a speech that the Bush administration wrote for him?! Well gee, no wonder Hamas is pissed.
Couple this with the fact that Iraq isn't exactly a powderkeg of peace right now, with the situation there about to blow up in our faces soon, you have to wonder what exactly Bush thinks "peace" is. The actions of his administration have not helped the Middle East achieve peace, and only time will tell if his actions have harmed the region.
Hm. Right about now, something tells me that we should have elected a candidate for President who is fluent in Arabic and well-educated about the Middle East. But noooo, we couldn't because the Democrats told us that voting for Nader was a vote for Bush.
Baseball, anyone?
Note to now and future bloggers: quitting your help desk job and moving to a different state does not work wonders for your time to update a blog. And, not to make excuses, but it also doesn't help that, essentially, there's nothing happening in the way of new news. We all know that Bush is lying but nothing is going to happen, that the "war" in Iraq has not ended and it wasn't planned properly, thus leading to more people dying; and we all know that Bush's tax cut probably won't help the economy, even though nobody is going to hold that against him, either.
I will comment on all this not just in due time, but when I have time (and when Blogger doesn't delete my entries before posting them). So instead, I figured that I would use this entry to post something entertaining: the all-superhero baseball squad!
These are the kinds of things you think about inbetween heckling batters at a minor league game, which is exactly what I did tonight. When you start thinking about ridiculous stuff like this, it's time to leave the stadium. But I would like to share my wisdom with you, dear reader. For I have assembled the greatest baseball team in the history of the known universe.
Starting Pitcher: Gambit
The guy has perfect aim, and his fastball explodes. Literally.
Catcher: The Hulk
Ain't nobody going around him on a close play at the plate.
First Base: The Thing
This is a power hitters position, because all you need to do is stand there and catch to ball.
Second Base: Flash
Every team needs a base stealer, and nothing is going through the hole with Flash playing in the infield.
Shortstop: Mr. Fantastic
I know that shortstops are bred to be power hitters now, but I an going the traditional route with this choice. Mr. Fantastic will have the most range of any shortshop in history.
Third Base: Spider-Man
You have to fit Petey somewhere on the squad because he's just cool.
And now, the Outfield of Power!
Left Field: Martian Manhunter
He's like Superman, except green and from Mars.
Center Field: Superman
You want speed in center field? You got it. Plus he's got power to boot.
Right Field: Silver Surfer
He's like Superman, except he dwells in space and has a surfboard. Plus he's silver!
Closer: Jean Grey
Telekinesis, baby. Her pitches will have more movement then a knuckleball on crack.
Manager: Batman
Who else? He doesn't actually have super powers, but he's got the biggest brain.
Batboy: Robin
There you have it, the greatest baseball team in the known universe. I hope this bout of idiocy will tide you over until I can make a real entry.

Stupidity Strikes Again!
Meet Bob Foor. This dumb fuck put up a huge, blinking neon sign of "Jesus is Lord" on a historic building which he owns and refuses to take it down. He had no right to put this sign up because the town that this building resides in has perservation laws to protect the integrity of their buildings, some of which were built in the 1700's. Washington slept in the building that Foor put his wretched sign on. But since the sign is all about Jesus, Foor thinks that he has the right to put it up. Plus Foor claims that his right to freedom of speech is being infringed upon.If someone owned a historic building in this town and put the same kind of sign up, except it said, "HAIL SATAN", this dickhead would forget about the first amendment quicker than you can say, "Jesus liked little boys." But religion isn't even the issue here. The fact that the sign, any sign, exists is the issue.
Areas of America that haven't yet been taken over by megacorporations and their wretched strip malls, homogenizing the landscape and doing nothing to preserve the history of an area and of this nation, are few and far between. Some people might be wondering, "Yeah, but what does that have to do with some religious fruitcake trying to shove religion down our throats?" This sign has everything to do with strip malls and homogenization. It's a big, gaudy neon sign posted on a historic colonial building, against the wishes of the community which has setup a perservation board to make sure that the historic aspect of these buildings are not tainted. But, because this man is righteous and carries a religious message, he thinks that he's above the law. He's no different then the megacorporation that wants to tear down historic builings and make them into strip malls, or move into one of these buildings just so it can become the new Home Depot or Wal-Mart. Foor's sign is a blatant slap in the face to history.
This isn't about religion at all, it's about historical perservation. And this has nothing to do with censorship. Foor could just as easily rent a billboard along the interstate in his town and put the same message on that billboard, but he didn't. He choose to deface a piece of history, and now he claims that this is a religious battle.
What a fucking fruitcake. I certainly hope this knuckle scraper hasn't breeded. He probably has, though, because stupid morons are good at doing two things: opening their big fat mouths, and fucking. Since they can do both of this things, they think the world should give them special treatment. I'd like to specially treat this asshole to being chucked off a cliff. I can't stand idiots who try to shove their religion down my throat.

The blog would have an update from me, but the wonderful and amazing Blogger.com service that I have to go through decided to delete the whole entry that I wrote last night, and wouldn't allow me to find out until now, almost 12 hours later, because everytime I tried to use Blogger it was down. So, fuck it, I don't have time to rewrite this shit right now, and needless to say, I'm pretty pissed off about the situation. My apologies, expect something on Monday. Unless Blogger does something stupid again. Goddamn stupid fucking assholes...
