Where can I donate to ELF?
Earth Liberation Front is at it again, vandalizing SUVs in southern California. Some SUVs received a new print job, others got burned along with parts of the dealerships. They mostly damaged Hummers, and if you think anyone actually needs a Hummer for reasons beyond compensation for a certain body part which the nomenclature of the vehicle suggests "service" to, then get the fuck off my website right now. Not only do I support this action but it makes me want to go out and trash a few H2's myself. Those gas hogs are ridiculously huge and completely unneeded, especially if you are living in the city. Is it just a coincidence that the larger SUVs get, the higher gas prices continue to soar?

If Hummer owners want to compromise, here's a fair suggestion: they pay more at the pump for gas so us small car owners aren't getting reamed for their driving habits increasing the demand for gas, thus increasing the prices. They can pay $5 a gallon and I'll pay $1. Sounds fair to me.

You can buy anything off the Internet
The first baby conceived with sperm purchased over the internet was born. The sperm was purchased at Mannotincluded.com. (Ironically enough, a hetrosexual couple, who wishes to remain anonymous, made the purchase.) How would you like to be this kid when you grow up? If you were this child's parent, would you tell them about how they were conceived?

Hightower Speaks
Popular Populist Jim Hightower has a new book, "Thieves In High Places". It should be on your reading list, because you have to love a man who can provide you with this quote: "I look at a guy like [Rep. Dick] Armey and think, '100,000 sperm and you were the fastest?'" You can read this and more from one of his recent speeches delivered at an event sponsered by True Majority.

Some other interesting quotes from Hightower's speech:

"Empire tends to bloat one's ego. Bush said to the National Security Council last year, 'I do not need to explain why I say things. That's the interesting thing about being president. I don't feel like I owe anybody an explaination.' Why wasn't that on the evening news?" Yes, why wasn't it? If we had a truly liberal media, shouldn't they be jumping all over comments such as that?

"George W. Bush had a fundraiser here in New York City during the 2000 election. This was his attempt to make a little joke. He was looking out over a sea of tuxedos and designer gowns, thousand-dollar-a-plate event, and he said, 'This is an impressive crowd. The have and have mores. Some call you the elite. I call you my base.'"

"You know they say that in sex, using a feather is erotic but using the whole chicken, that's kinky." hightower said that, not Bush. Isn't this man great?

Early Warning
As early as 8/14/03, the "government" council that we placed in Iraq was warned of a possible truck bombing. I imagine that this truck bombing, while it did not target military forces, was the work of the same parties who have been picking off troops since Bush worngly annouced on the deck of an aircraft carrier that major combat in Iraq had ended. It would appear that those forces are getting stronger, and if I may guesstimate upon situations that I believe are obvious, a large scale attack on our troops will happen soon. We still haven't found Sadaam, and the chaos that has reigned in Iraq since we launched our invasion has only proven that the Bush administration had no viable plan for the reconstruction of Iraq. He has not only placed innocent Iraqis and our troops in danger, but his military actions have angereed radical Muslim groups and probably placed the lives of innocent Americans in danger with an increased threat of terrorist attacks in retaliation of our wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Of course, my predictions could be dead wrong.

On the topic of Bush's flying stunt and speech from the aircraft carrier, we all know that it cost the tax payers millions and he did it on purpose as a political stunt to bolster his 2004 campaign. Will anybody talk about the fact that, uhm, Bush lied to us, yet again? Major combat is not over. Some may say that this is not a lie and that our intelligence officials and the Bush administration did not think that major combat would last as long as it had, but maybe Bush could fly onto another aircraft carrier and correect himself? It would only be fair.

What do they have to hide?
The Bush administration moved to block an independent investigation into the blackout, in favor of a joint US/Canadian team. You know, an investigation that's not independent and eeasier to control. So, what's Bush hiding?

Grrr.
I wasn't planning on posting anything today, since I am lacking in time, but the bus bombing in Israel just pisses me off. I have used the blog to criticize Israeli policy, so I don't want people to think that I agree with Islamic Jihad and their actions. Violence begets violence, and murdering babies is inexcusable, deplorable behavior that's only worthy of disgust. It's a cowardly act that cannot even remotely be respected.

As for the UN bombing in Iraq, regular readers may remember me talking about Col. Hackworth and his take on the war. Quoting the blog, paraphrasing his take, "..All while Iraqi guerrillas are turning, "An Army of One," into an Army of one (or two) a day, binding their time to launch an attack that could kill hundreds of troops." Well, this attack wasn't aimed at troops, but it seems like the guerrillas are getting one step closer to such an attack.

In good news, the RIAA now says that it will not go after small time file sharers.
